Venue and practicalities

Practicalities of the research workshop ‘Making Sense of Virtual Worlds and User Driven Innovation’, June 7th-9th 2010, Magleaas Denmark.

Arrival and registration will take place 9:00-10:00 on Monday the 7th. Departure will be on Wednesday the 9th at 16:30. Accommodation will be provided from the 7th to the 9th. If you arrive Sunday or wish to spend the weekend in Copenhagen, we can recommend Fox Hotel , Hotel Opera, or a the Downtown Hostel all located in the city center.

Getting there
The full address of the venue is Magleaas Kursuscenter, Hoesterkoebsvej 6, DK-3460 Birkeroed. Public transport from Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) to the site is approx. one hour. Trains leave regularly from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station.

At the Copenhagen Central Station, transfer to an S-train towards Hilleroed (line E, platform 9/10, train leaves every 10 minutes). Then get off at Birkeroed station. From Birkeroed station you either take bus no. 197 to Magleaas or you can take a taxi.

Travel plan example:
8:45 – take train at Copenhagen Central Station (line E, direction Hilleroed, platform 9/10)
9:12 – get off at Birkeroed Station
9:24 – take Bus 197 Birkeroed Station to Magleaas Kursuscenter
9:38 – arrival at Magleaas

Accommodations
All participants will be staying in individual rooms at Magleaas. Accommodations and all meals are covered by the Virtual Worlds research project. If you have special dietary needs or other inquiries contact dixi@ruc.dk
