Maren Hartmann has been our visiting guest researcher in February and March 2009. She has been invited to critically review the results in 2008 of our research project and to give advice as to what we will have to further look into in our future research.

The Nordic Network for the Study of Dialogic Communication of Research is a three-year research network running 2008-2011 financed by NordForsk.
The network connects 32 researchers from 8 Nordic universities: Roskilde University, Copenhagen Business School, Aalborg University, Copenhagen University, Oslo University, Agder University College, Luleå Technical University and Tampere University. 6 workshops will be arranged over the three-year period and a ph.d.-course is to be held at Roskilde University in spring 2010.
The coordinator of the network is Louise Phillips, Ph.D., Associate Professor in Communication Studies at Roskilde University, CBIT, who is also a member of the research project on Virtual Worlds and User-driven Innovation. Louise Phillips is the SIRA-profile of this month – Swedish Interactive Research Association (SIRA). You can read more about the network on the SIRA website.
* Sirikata is an BSD licensed open source platform for virtual worlds. We aim to provide a set of libraries and protocols which can be used to deploy a virtual world, as well as fully featured sample implementations of services for hosting and deploying these worlds.
