Last week’s workshop, Virtual Worlds Workshop, Augmenting Reality in the Public Domain, joined together a mix of people from academia, museums and art. Unfortunately, Gunnar Liestol fell ill. Instead Christian Jacquemin, Professor in computer sciences at Paris University II and researcher at LIMSI-CNRS, presented a number of collaborative computer science/art projects combining new technologies, audio-visual creations and interactive graphics for augmenting and interacting with sound, shadows and scenography. View his slides and the video below of the R.A.M. (Mobile Augmented Reality) project, a prototype for a monumental mobile video projection.
Slides are also available from the talks on virtual worlds in tourism and education Singapore (by Mikala Hansbøl and CarrieLynn Reinhard) as well as Sisse Siggaard Jensen’s discussion on conceptualizations of engagement.
Thanks to presenters and participants for contributing to this day of joint exploration and discussion!
