BE community is a multiuser 3D online environment for young cancer patients. It is based on an open-source software called Sirikata, under development by programmers and developers at Katalabs. They just received an ok by the National Danish Data Protection Agency to start pilot testing the BE community at oncology wards at two Danish hospitals. Congratulations!
The Danish Cancer Society is featuring an interview with founders of the BE community, Mette Terp Høybye and Henrik Bennetsen, in their new December magazine ‘Tæt på Kræft’. The two talented Danes recently presented at the Future of Health Innovation Conference at Stanford University.
